Bone Marrow Transplantation: A Chance for a New Life at Any Age

Age is not an obstacle when it comes to saving lives.

Bone marrow transplantation is one of the most complex and life-saving procedures in modern medicine.

In Russia and other CIS countries, according to data from the Pirogov National Medical Center, age restrictions are applied:

• autologous transplantation is usually performed for patients under the age of 65,
• related donor transplantation performed for those under the age of 55,
